Hi Vineet,
I was unable to open dermaindia website, it is showing blank page.
Daavlin full body units (24/36/48 tubes – 72″ tall) costs too high. We can’t import these units from US, should go through India distributor. I had contacted India distributor few months back, they told it costs around 5 lakhs rs. You may contact Daavlin india distributor : Corium Medical services, their mail id is : [email protected].Please do update us if you find any good deal. Will update you on this if anything is good.
bye,
thanks
MadhuHi,
Is there any local manucturer in India (for full body phototherapy units).
Daavlin and HomePhototherapy products costs more, it is around rs 4~5 lakhs, which is very high.I have been using “http://www.daavlin.com/uvseries.shtml” from the past 1 and 1/2 yrs, and using “http://www.daavlin.com/3series.shtml’ from the past 1 year. Have seen good results.
If there is any manufacturer, which is similar to above full body system, please share.
Thanks
MadhuHi Saraswathi,

Hi Saraswathi,
Can you pls let me know some more details.
[QUOTED]
Photo therapy and Puva bath are available at his clinic.
[/QUOTED]How much they charge per one session ? and also clinic timings, any idea ? Is it a full body phototherapy unit ?
Thanks,
AMHi Siva,
Are you looking for Melanocyte transplantation or Melanocyte cultured transplantation ?
I had tried Melanocyte cultured transplantation last May 2005. It took nearly 3~4 months to repigment, eventhough it it didn’t fully repigment. Around 3 inch patch was there on my ankle, and nearly 70~80% is repigmented. I am not sure whether this treatment is available in India because growing cells in laboratory is too expensive. I have tried this option at National Skin Centre, Singapore, under hospital’s research scheme.
For Melanocyte Transplantation, you can check Dr Vivekananda Bhat’s treatment, Bangalore. I think it is available in Chennai also, not sure. Check this link : http://www.noblevitiligoclinic.com. I called him once sometime back regarding this treatment, treatment costs around rs 10,000/- to 20,000/-.
Let us know your finding and share with us.
thanks,
