but i don’t know abt the results of melonocyl from him..
It looks he is charging heavily than what i have undergone in Appollo Chennai..
Doctor name is Ravichandran..looks i lost his mobile..but u can contact him at his appollo clinic
    044-28293333 , 28290200.

I under gone for two patches of 50 paise size appx.. and he charged around 3500 to 4500 RS..
and it is okay.. i undergone that 1.5 years back after one month i see 90 % result, but i lost 50 % pigment now(1.5 year later), and i have to take one more time and i hope it will be fine.

    Hi TS,
I patrially read ur postings on the main board..
good that u had a wounderful trip..
as i said earlier i have under gone this treatment 2 years before..
i remember, it will come to normal in 2 to 3 weeks time, but ur bandage will b removed in a week time..
but u will see good results in 2 months time..
But after a year it will start loosing pigment..
so once you see that it is start loosing, you can take up one more treatment..
Which areas (and size) ur treated..is there any parts ur not treated..

actually i like to share(abt my VIT) what is happening on my side..
This week end i will do it with out fail.

    thanks

    Hi
Good to hear about ur appointment.

    [QUOTED]
in India? Will my laptop computer work? Will they have a wireless connection in the Hospital? I need to get a converter or find out how to get one if possible
    [/QUOTED]

I don’t think u will have a wireless connection in indian hotels..better check with them by calling..
Indian power point plugs are different than that of US ones..so first you definetely need the Indian-US 3 pin socket..
regarding the voltage, output is 220 V..so you need an adpter which converts 220 to 110.
But most of the new laptops supports 110 to 220 volts. In that case you no need to have adapter..Check ur laptop adapter, it will be clearly written over there..
But you can find lots of Internet browsing centers, which will be around 0.5 USD/hour.
If u have any more info which i can give, you can e-mail me at [email protected]
please let us know how it goes..

    thanks

    Hi TS,
I am replying for the message you posted in Main Message Board..
i guess actually cost depends on how big is ur patch..
It lloks 2000 USD is costly..You can try Dr Vivek in bangalore..and there are some doctors in chennai too..
Do you mean melenocyl transperent is same as Skin Crafting ??
If so, i have under gone Skin Crafting in chennai Appollo hospital..
They removed a very thin layer (one inch)of skin at back..and will paste those active cells at the vit spots before they die..
I was paid around 150 USD for my 2 half inch patches 2 years before..
First 6 months you will see 80 to 90% pigment..then after 6 months it slowly comes down to 40 to 50 %..
But result is okay.I have’nt gone to the second time..when i go to india in this dec, i am going to do second time..
Abt the food in delhi..you can very weell order from ur hotel itself..usually food in india is cheaper(like 4 USD per meal in hotels)..
If you want i can give the doctor contact details which i have undergone..i need to search it..

    thanks

    Hi bbb_v,
these days busy, so logging into VSI once in 2 days, and most times don’t find time to reply..
    sorry for that..
My singles are completely gone and i am alright with that..Good that it was gone in 2 to 3 days..It usually stays for a month i heard..Coming to my Vit..huh..i don’t know what to say..i don’t find that cure..but i can say better..
tough i am getting some patches internally, i am putting lots (UVB NB, Sun and Protopic) not to loose the pigment..
i can see the new patches where they are hard to identify..As i am taking treatment, looks the pigment is not falling any more..
This way I am controlling those..I am not able to analze my VIT…Looks over my ankels it is little controlled, pretty good..but now it is started effecting at the place where fingures meet nails..I guess this is most tough part..lets see..
Winter is coming in a month time..I won’t be having sun there after..i am afraid..and it snows..
just thinking to leave this job and go to California or Florida where i can have good sun..
i asked my derm about this..she said as far her opinion, not required to move to a place where is sun, and even she did’nt recomment to expose to sun..But i am doing for 10 to 12 mints..
Please, some body can give their opinion on this..i might have sun, but i have to expose from my car through glass..i guess this way is not effective..

    thanks

    Hi mistik
tough i saw ur message couple of days back, i did’nt time to reply..
i become so busy these days, its good that i am not worrying much abt my vit and redued my stress..

    PROTOPIC :

    [QUOTED]
The spots are between my thumb and forefinger
    [/QUOTED]
I am woundering ur clothes will rub ur protopic at ur thumb and forefinger..
any ways..i apply on my chest..my clothes never rubs it..
As your applying very think layer, usually ur clothes won’t rub it..If you apply thick layer i agree ur clothes will rub.

    XTRACT :
yep ur right abt derms..i need to try taking those articles to the derm..

    NEW SPOTS:
If you are getting new spots, i guess you need to try full unit UVB NB and Sun and Protopic……
XTRACT or Handheld is SPOT specific.
But i doubt whether your derm will allow both XTRACT and Full Unit UVB NB..check with him.
Initially new patches itches(only some places like chin, eye brows) for some hours and forms a layer at very initial stage of VIT..when ever i found that, i will start concentrated and treating that part..
example : My right eye lid..4 months back..i had terrible itching for some days..and forms egg shape layer..i really concetrated and immediately started treating(sun , protopic, uvb..).. till now i did’nt loose any pigment..but i can see the VIT oval ring very clearly..
On my left eye lid , i had the similar, but on this eye, i lost very minute pigment and it remains as it is from last 2 months..
Apart from UVB, i also expose to sun for 10 minutes/day carefully.. when i feel it is burning kind, i will stop..

    [QUOTED]
You know, there are days I get so depressed thinking why ME? It’s really hard to stay upbeat, but we have to because a positive attitude is the first line of defense.
    [/QUOTED]

My mom always says me WHY its for me..but i never think about that, b’caz its already happened..and always think what are best solutions.. and i totally depend on god..
Technology is growing like any thing..Atleast there should be a way to stop and stabilize VIT..Reachers should really work on this. Defenitely there is some thing inside the body makes these white spots, but i wounder Nobody in this World not able to find that..

in reply to: shingles and vit #142156

    opps,
if u wash it immediately after you apply, there is no use that u applied cream..
Even after couple of hours, you wash it if you don’t like it..else leave it as it is..
i am getting tiny spots on my fingures..even on my head(just above eye browes..)..
looks like it is going to effect lots of places on my fingures..
i am using uvb nb now..
i enquired almost all derms in the city about XTRACT, 3 derms has that, but no body uses that for vitiligo..
this is time where i can try all options..once it is turned completely to white, it will difficult for me to cure at my fingures, as those r the toughest areas..

    [QUOTED]
I drink green tea all day long. Just plain, no sugar/no milk.
    [/QUOTED]

just plain..its a solid powder right..
any ways, what brand u drink and do got that from wallmart ?

in reply to: shingles and vit #142141

    Hi mistik,
    nice to hear you back..
oh, ur fond of ancient stones..then u need to come India..
i have no idea of this place Ft Lauderdale in FL..that’s ok..

    [QUOTED]
    1) After rubbing in a bit of cream on the white spots, do you wait a while before putting on your clothes?
I worry that my clothes will remove the cream before my skin absorbs it.
    [/QUOTED]

i don’t think it will remove ur cream after ur wear ur clothes..
you can immediately wear ur clothes after applying cream..
this is my opinion..lets see if some body replies on this..

    [QUOTED]
    2) I do have 2 spots on my right hand. Do you reapply Protopic after you wash your hands?
    [/QUOTED]

You should not wash your hands atleats for one to two hours after you apply..it’s better if you keep it, else it’s ok if you wash after 1.5 to 2 hours..
You NO need to re-apply after you wash(after 2 hours..)

    Green Tea —
I am NOT drinking Green Tea..i am taking tablets..
i got the tablets from WallGreens..
Do you drink that with milk..or how do you take it..

    Thanks

in reply to: shingles and vit #142060

    Hi mistik,
nice to hear abt ur repigment..
hope it reches from 30% to 100%..
so if ur travel, then ur giving break to ur laser treatment..ya, i know ur replacing that with UVB NB..
but still i suggest don’t give breaks while taking XTRACT..
which city you live in Florida..
I was there in Tampa FL, till this Feb and i have lots freinds there..
now i moved to Iowa..i got my Vit back after moving here..
i just took green tea tablets for one week and stopped (i feel uneasy in stomach) for one week and i tat of starting back and i got my shilgles and i did’nt..i may start from next week..
apart from that i am using Folic Acid abd B12..do u suggest any other Vitimis ??
My shingles are now almost gone, and i guess i will start my UV from next week..

    thanks
