I just wanted to wish you well with the treatment your daughter is taking – she’s young, youve got a very good chance of curing the vit before it spreads.

Personally, if it was me, i think i would have waited until the child is perhaps a year old or more before starting any treatment.

Hey neesha, Gina, Kamz,

How you all doing – hope you are well and your exams are going well. Just wanted to let you know that my manager did allow me to go part time – so now i only work wed thurs n friday………………..been really hot…………..so i been a good gyal and been putting my medicine on.

I also went to see this camaflauge lady at the hospital, and she tried some make ups on my neck………….n matched me some colours……………….so i got the prescription for that today………….with practice i should hopefully be able to apply the Dermacolour on my neck properly. I tried dermablend on before, but that didnt quite match……………this one is called Dermacolor.

I think a letter might help………………..yeh i would discuss it with my line manager but………although she is very nice and everything……….theres something about her………….i dnt like her………….she hasnt said or done anything to me personally to me…………………but i feel obliged to be extra nice when she is in the office.

But yeh, a letter……………..i may just give it ago.

Hey People, how you doing??

I REALLY NEED YOUR ADVICE!!

As you know, i started work the other week, and the thing is, now i want to go part time because i am taking chineese medicne, and that requires me to put lotion on the vit and sit in front of the sun.

The thing is, i have to speak to this manager, who is higher than my line manager, and i have to tell her why i want to go part time. When i accepted the job, i knew it was full time…………………but a couple of days later, when i had accepted the offer, i did call them up and ask if i could do part time hours, and they said that the organisation i work for is very flexible and may allow me to do part time hours according to the needs of the business.

The thing is, i really like this job, and obviously my vit is very important to me as well, and since we only have the sun for a little while, i want to make the most of it.

Gina, told me to ask the chinees doctor to write a letter, and to say that i need to apply lotion 5 times a day……………..so i phoned him today, and he wont write it, becasue he said i dont do that…………..wanker!

My line manager told me to bring some medical stuff to show the manager…………………….but as we all know, vit isnt like a medical thing, its more of a cosmetic/disease thing. BUT HOW SHOULD I EXPLAIN THIS TO HER??

Because whenever i try and explain the vit to people and how it affects me, im always on the verge of tears, and becasue it upsets me so much, then the words dont come out of my mouth. I have tried explaining my vit to some external people, but every time i have………………..the first time i just burst into tears, other people i try to tell, i just come close to tears……………………….its so hard to explain to someone who doesnt understand.

HOW DO YOU THINK I CAN EXPLAIN THE SITUATION TO MY MANAGER??

Please advise or give me your thoughts on this??

When you fininsh with your law books and you dont need them, you should sell them on ebay, law books usually sell well especially recent ones. I know this because i sold my law book on it.

Hey All,

Hope you are all well. I started work on tuesday, and i have to say, i am loving it!!!!!! for the mean while at least. Yeh Neesha, even in the summer i wear turtle, polo, rolo necks – but only if im going to a place where i am uncomfortable showing the vit.

Baldeesh- where you from, what do you do, what ur email add??

And neesha, why dnt you download msn, i c u online on here soo many times. To download the basic msn, it only takes a few minutes and it doesnt take a lot of space on your computer.

Yeh i always cover my vit up when i go out – but with clothes………ive got loads of turtle neck, polo neck rolo neck tops………………i tried the dermablend make-up on my neck but it just didnt match and didnt look right, so i was a bit dissappointed with that – ive got an hospital appointment in the end of May to see a camoflauge lady – hope she is able to help somewhat.

And about the lotion, even if its not sunny, you should still apply the lotion minium 3 times a day………….i know its annoying but what has to be done has to be done – becasue if you just apply it once here n there i dnt think that will make a difference, you mite as well not apply it at all then – sorry if I sound a bit harsh………………look at me tellint you to put the lotion on, when i sometimes dont.

Im properly starting my chineese medicne this sunday, gonna go and buy the herbs n stuff.

Hello Priya & Van,

I also noticed that my stable spots on my body, where i had not applied the protopic had increased slightly as well. Even on my neck, where i had been applying the protopic, i felt as if some of the hair on the skin was turing white again.

I think protopic does work on indian skin, but only on the face, but for the rest of the body i dnt think it works that well.
