If you do not have a VSI account, you can quickly create one here!Yes, my uncle had vitiligo too, I think I mentioned that on the first post ………
As far as I know, like ayurveda, unani treatments can vary. I started this treatment on the 7th of March 2006, so its been about 4 months. I get these herbs from Pakistan.
Anyone else using unani treatment have anything to say? would be good to get your thoughts ……….

He says this treatment is widely used in countries like Pakistan and India. It can be obtained from an Unani. He told my parents about the treatment when I was young because it was working for him. But my parents decided against it then because they did not know if there would be any side-effects. Plus, my dad is a doctor himself (not Unani) and he knows that oral consumption of babchi can cause liver problems ….. so they decided against it. But now, after taking the herbs for so many years, my uncle is still fine and has not had any problems with his liver … so I decided to give it a try.
My uncle was told that the babchi will not damage his liver because he is only drinking the water soaked with babchi. The other two herbs are supposed to retain the pigments when the skin starts to heal. Well, I will definelty keep posting here on my experiences with this treatment. It is supposed to be very long, probably more than a year, depending on the extent of the vit and how long the person has had it for. I’ve had vit for about 20 years now … so lets see how it goes! I know the treatment seems a little non-scientific, but since science has not been able to do much for us at the moment, in terms of a cure …. I trust in alternative treatments. Also, if these alternative treatment therapists were able to recognise decades ago that babchi can be helpful in vitiligo …. they are on the right track!
Hi Van,
Did you find out anything about the other herbs?
