Hi
Never done this before. I have vitiligo on my face and hands. I use covermark on my face and it works well. Through experience, I am very fast in applying the make up which is helped by applying it in natural daylight. Being male, I am concerned in as natural a camouflage as possible. I have an olive complexion that lightens/darkens very fast so I have to blend two colors to match. Apparently dermacolour fixing powder (5) is a good natural fixer. People only notice the vitiligo on my hands. I am not sure what I can do about those. I am a professional guitarist who does a fair amount of television work (camera shots of my hands playing something and the vitiligo is on view in all it’s glory)I don’t have a problem with that but I have been refused work because of it. Their loss! I do have a problem with oily skin. Covermark deals with this very well but it would look better if my skin didn’t get that shiny look to it. The covermark stays where it was applied (in this case my forehead) but has completely lost it’s smudge free factor. Any suggestions on reducing how much oil my skin produces would be appreciated. Hope I may of been of some help. I tried Dermablend as well but it didn’t work for me. Anyone hear of a more permanent fixer? Or of a skin dye? Apparently Dye-o-derm is supposed to be quite affective.
