They covered most of this at the conference too Now I also remember that it was stressed that vitamin B12 and Folic Acid MUST be taken in conjunction with one another… I believe this is because one will cause depletion of the other, so they must both be present in order to work without cancelling each other out. (sorry if this is confusing) This should be covered when Randy presents the summary of the conference, as I believe it was a key section of one presentation
Thanks for sharing this Sanjay!

Hello everyone,
I hate to disappoint, but I seem to have lost my notes that I took at the conference!! Trust me eh? I swear I have the worst memory ever, but I will continue to look for them and will post as soon as I find them Maybe Randy will put up the official conference summary first, and I’m sure his are WAAYYY better than mine!!
Off the top of my head, I can tell you guys that the main topics covered were mostly on nb-uvb light treatments, and the excimer laser… There was also a presentation on vitamins ( I took most of my notes on this!) and also Dr. Grimes covered EVERYTHING, and obviously was the most informative of them all One thing I do remember her saying was that herbs like milk thistle and pau d’arco aren’t really that good, and she would advise NOT taking them, although she said green tea was just fine… (unless she just recommended not taking these herbs with other treatments such as protopic and nb-uvb) Sorry if I’m confusing…!! Maybe it is better to just wait for Randy’s summary!
Btw Gina, Thanks doll! I love ur pics too!!!
take care,

Thanks for ur response I went to Trader Joes today, they do have a good selection of wheat and/or gluten free foods I’ve got some that I’m going to try out before going back and buying a true stash! I’m going to look for whole food in this area, or at least some other natural foods store, to see if they have more, or different, selections of wheat and/or gluten free foods…
The only known treatment for celiac is to remain on a wheat and gluten free diet for life. As far as I’ve researched so far, there are no known medicines or even vitamins to take for this, just avoidance of certain foods… Maybe in the future things will change?
As I told Van in the above post, I had the tests done to diagnose a chronic stomach problem I had been having…I’ve never shown reactions for food allergy tests before, but then I don’t know if wheat or gluten allergy can be tested this way…?
take care,
-BaldeeshHi Van!
Sorry to keep you waiting, but the conference stuff I will post tomorrow!! Today has been a crazy Backstreet day! =cD lol…
So about the celiac, the tests I had done were the colonoscopy and endoscopy, and thru this they determined I needed further testing… I had a stomach biopsy sent to the lab for testing, and thru this they diagnosed the celiac… I had the scopes done because I’ve been having severe stomach/abdominal aches and pains for several years now, and after being put off by several different doctors (and being completely talked into it by my family) I made the appt with the GI clinic directly for the scopes procedures because there was no other way to really determine the root of the pain…
I agree that it will take time to adjust to the new diet I will have to be on… It’s still so hard to believe it’s really happening… I went grocery shopping with my mum to Trader Joes today, which is a natural foods store in this area… I’ve found some new wheat/gluten free goodies to try out lol I hope they taste good!! I’m going to be experimenting for a while to see which foods are ok and which aren’t… At least I know that a lot of Indian foods are ok, like sabjis and daals! just gotta eat w/ rice all the time now, no roti anymore It’s ok… I’ll get used to it…eventually…. =c/
Tomorrow I will dig up my conference notes for sure and will share them!!!
Take care,
