    Hi dileep:
No, I’m not from India. I am of mixed Asian descent.

    1) XTRAC laser update
After 14 sessions, I am repigmenting. My biggest spot was the size of a quarter, and it has repig about 30%. So I hope it keeps going.

    2) Steroid cream (Clobetasol)
My derm stopped this after 2 months, and replaced it with Protopic on Monday. So we’ll see how this goes.
Thank you for the Protopic application advice.

    3) BCBS Florida insurance
Well, it’s still NO. We are in the process of 1st appeal. I will go through 2nd appeal and exhaust all possible options.
Basically they cover Vitiligo but only if it’s in the face, hands, neck (mine happens to be hidden and unseen inside my back, waist).
And they cover XTRAC for Psoriasis but not Vitiligo!

I also bought a handheld NB-UVB from Daavlin. I will be traveling for 1 month, and I wanted to keep up with some treatment.

Are you drinking green, taking your vitamins, etc?
I hope your shingles go away completely and you can return to your vit therapy.

“but its still hard to indetify the vit patches..”

    Hi dileep:
You can easily identify your vitiligo spots with the use of a black light.

I purchased a black light ($16 at a lighting store) to identify my vit spots from sun spots.
I encircle each one prior to my XTRAC excimer laser session, so the laser technician can correctly zap each vit spot.

Also, Protopic was prescribed for me today, so I’ll let you know how it goes…
