Hi Rachna,
Read your post & I’m glad you’re feeling better. I am from Delhi but since 92 have lived in Dubai & now in L.A.
When I got married I had been going out with my husband for 2 years. I had 2 little spots not really visible but a close aunt was about 90% depig. I remember a conversation with him on ‘what it would be if I were to be like that too”…he said he din’t really care. It’s been 13 years since & my vit has only grown….I know he still adores me & I know he has never cared about it…the only times he wishes I din’t have it he says are the times when I am upset about it…He hates it when it hurts me. All through life I have made good friends and I know vit has interferred at times when I haven’t been stronger and I’ve allowed it to make me unhappy.
Like Priti’s dad says..marriage is kismet….absolutely…..and when someone has the ability to look beyond the white paches on your skin then you’ll know he is worth spending your life with. I do realise that the arranged marriage scene in India really stinks…my own sis in law has a bit of a problem with her eye & I’ve actually heard my mother in law complain that they had to ‘compromise on the family she married into’ !!…I would have blown her away if she is ever to comment on my vit !!!…so I can understand what you face with the comments. But be strong….I was in India this december & one of my Mother in law’s friends said..”oh..what’s happened to your hand ??…this is such an awful illness…she is someone who my MIL says is well travelled and experienced !!…well she had also poor judgement !!
I would advise you to go out more with friends more often , meet more people, make new friends and keep an open mind….never know when & where he may pop up !! And you are in Bangalore..I’ve spent a year there & realise there’s no better place than that to have a good time !!
Lots of luck !!
