Yeh i was told to drink the medicine on an empty stomach… meaning an hour before or after food.
Chocolate!…mmmm…wish i could keep it to a minimum, but i like it sooo much! lol!!
Two days ago, i put on my lotion and sat in the sun for about 15mins… the sun wasnt even that strong. Anyway the next day and today, my vit patches are pink and feel kinda rough. I dont think i could be burnt cos I wasnt even in the sun for that long, what’d you think? Also, I think some of the lotion went onto my ‘normal’ skin and patches have turned really dark, I hope these fade… soo many problems! So i havent appled the lotion since, im waiting..
People do say that the face is the easiest place to repigment but not for me. I did NB-UVB a while back for about 6 months. I did get some improvement, but not a lot. Maybe.. i think.. its harder to repigment only a small amount of vit, segmental vitiligo.. i dunno..
So you’ve finished uni.. what degree did you do? Im sure you’ve already told me.. but ive probably forgotten! I start uni, second year, next week.. im doing law. My makeup is looking a bit orange at the moment, im gonna have to make an appointment to try something else.
I wish i was getting used to my medicine, urgh!, i feel sick everytime i drink it! But im determined. Yeh £35 a week is really expensive. My parents pay for it and i feel really bad… they’ve paid for soo many different treatments…Anyway im hoping this will work! I buy my medicine every week..I boil it in the evening. Thats enough medicine for that night and the following morning.
No, I dont have msn, it would be a good idea to download it though..ill have too. Protopic.. I asked my doctor for it a while back but he said that he didnt use it to treat vit. It isnt a registered treatment for vit or something? I guess all doctors are different..

How are you doin? Well, ive been trying to use my lotion more….. I did yesterday and i even went out into the sun! But its hard, cos today ive been out all day and because i always wear makeup i havnt been able to apply the lotion. Anyway, im going to apply it now but theres no sun, do you think that the lotion still works withour having any sun? No-one knows about my vitiligo so its hard for me to go into the sun, i hardly ever do, only sometimes in my garden. And another problem, yeah i know… no sun… especially where i live, in the north of england, theres hardly any, even in summer! Yeh i suppose you could use the psorawand as a substitute….. and i think that its more safe than actually using the sun, i dunno? You know the medicine that we have to drink at morning and then night, i was told to have it on an empty stomach but it tastes so awful that i always have to have something after it, like chocolate… do you have anything after yours? Ok, im sorry for going on… and all the questions!
Neesha xx

Yep it does seem as though are medicines are identical… and i also pay £35 a week for mine!! ……i am going to try and apply my lotion more, actually i just have done now before i logged on, but for only the 1st time today. I was told to apply it 2-3 times a day.
Thanks for the info about the psorawand, ill look into it….very expensive though. Im going to stick with this chinese medicine first though. I was also thinking about Excimer Laser….. hmmmmm, just as long as something works!
Take care, Neesha

[QUOTED]
why don`t u try psworawand if ur vitiligo is in small area only ??
[/QUOTED]
My vitiligo is only in a small area…on the left side of my face, forehead and neck. I did want to try psworawand but the last time i checked it was really expensive, not covered by the NHS, and that only a few hospitals had them..i know there was one in London, but thats quite far from where i live in the UK.I did try NB-UVB for a while… which worked a bit… but ive stopped at the moment, having a break from it. I had this on the NHS, i had to go to the hospital twice a week. But the hospital only had a full body unit which meant i had to only expose my face and neck… it was hard for some of the light to reach the side of my neck as it was on an angle….i think psworawand would be more effective.

[QUOTED]
I have been taking this chineese medicine for 5 years now, but i properly started taking it 3 months ago
[/QUOTED]
Im also taking chinese herbal medicine for about 7 months now, i think.. Im really determined to get rid of my vit so ive been doing it properly. Ive got to boil some herbs which i have to drink at morning and then night, ive only ever missed drinking this once…. i have seen some improvement on my forehead, im really happy about that so im going to keep taking the medicine. Is your medicine just to drink or something to put on your vit too?… i have a lotion to put on my vit patches but i hardly have a chance to cos the only vit i have is on my face and neck so i always wear makeup.
[QUOTED]
the only thing is, is that it takes time……..but eventually il get there.
[/QUOTED]
Yeah it does take soo long and its really frustrating but hopefully it’ll work, im gonna keep trying. Good luckNeesha
