i know how it can be .. parents looking for a groom for their daughter and how the community is..!
i think u shd find one for urself…..
    [/QUOTED]

van, actually as far as finding one for myself goes, i am actually looking for a partner myself well
i am actively looking through some avenues which are available
through my own search only, i had come across this guy but later things didnt work out

i am not just waiting for someone to come across in life whom i might fall in love with and all that
or just that my parents will produce a guy from somewhere out of the blue and i will tie the knot
actually that is something i am very fearful of……………..you know how arranged marriages happen in india
just look at the face and get married, how can someone do that

if my life is going to be so closely interlinked with someone else, i better know the person a bit, and find out there are no jarring differences in opinions and all that
i am very particular about this thing

ya, its good talking to you

hey van, thanks for your words !!

just that things have been frustrating and difficult for sometime now
my family worrying about my marriage, and me too now
have been unsuccessful in searches uptil now…………..you know how it is in our country

actually recently, met someone and we liked each other, but through some unfortunate turn of events (nothing to do with vitiligo), things moved wrongly and he is engaged to someone else now

all these incidents are playing too much on my mind

ya, this must be a temporary phase, i have to just let it pass

    Hi Van,

Swinzle is really a great kid……………give her lots of good wishes, hugs and kisses from me !!!!!!!!!!

Even in her pictures, Swinzle looks so smart and confident.

All ye people out there……………take this as an example, vitiligo has nothing to do with the person you are. Your accomplishments or your failures, dont blame it on vitiligo

Thanks Van and Swinzle for just proving it :)

    hi juhi,

you hvae a good attitude and just keep it up
if your partner needs some space, maybe you should just give him some space

ya, just try to be normal, act normal
once things come to normalcy, you will feel better :)

    bye
    rashmi

    Hi Juhi,

Really sad to hear about this. And I know this would be really really difficult for you. And it would be equally or even more difficult for your partner. Just stand by him for sometime. In a disturbed state of mind, he might say a few things which do not sound very pleasant to you. But hang on. Give him sometime. With the thing cooling off a bit, he will be able to think better, and whatever he decides then, will be more rational.

I feel really sorry for all these people who are ill advising him and his family. I know that even well educated people do that.
And it is so unfair to you. Good that your family supports you so much. Bank on them.

I really really wish something good will come out of this.

    Take care

    Hi Juhi,

Ya, I think it will be a good idea to let this thing cool off a bit and the try soft persuasion with your partner’s mother

and be firm in your relationship with your man
also, giving your partner sometime will let him also think with a cool mind
if he has to make a choice between the 2 people he loves, he better do it with a cool mind

i know it all hurts a lot,
why should one give into misplaced prejudices and opinions
such a stupid thing like vitiligo spoil a beautiful relationship, or cause so many hardships
that is how we feel…………but these issues are so strongly rooted in the indian psyche, and i guess other parts of the world also

be strong, and keep writing to us
