Hi Saraswathi and Jai,
I seem to fit Jai’s requirement perfectly !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am working as a team leader in J2ee projectI am currently with Polaris Software in Bombay. Was previously with Infosys Bangalore. Have been working for almost 6 years now.
Even, I will probably be working this saturday , but not sundaygood one jai…………..lol !!!!!!!!!!
hey saraswathi, even i used to somehow think you are not married.
and it turns out that you are a married womanHi Jai,
Congratulation on your engagement !!!!!!!!!
This comes as really good news. It really nice that you found a partner who is not concerned about your vitiligo and you had no problems form the family side as well.
So, when do you plan to get married?? do keep us posted.
i must call up vishal also and let him know, if you havent already told him !!rashmi
Hi Saraswathi,
I dont worry about my vit at all. It is just like one of so many othe rproblems one has in life.
Now when I am looking for someone to be in a relationship with and get married, I do not compromise on anything and I would never like to feel that the other person is compromising by marrying me. That will not make me feel good. The relationship has to be based on complete understanding and acceptance of each other. Otherwise why marry at all.
I would also suggest that you dont think about your vit so much. Yes, the first thing you have to do is develop confidence in yourself.
YOU ARE IN NO WAY INFERIOR TO ANYONE BECAUSE OF VIT. PERIOD.
Saraswathi,
No, am not married and I am not seeing that person anymore.
Things didnt go quite well.Rashmi
Hi,
Welcome to the website !!
I perfectly understand your predicament.
I would say that there are only a few things you can do about this –
Be honest, sincere and be yourself. When your boyfriend’s parents meet you and they are able to see the person that you are, they would probably like that
Be strong and support your guy completely. I guess it is him who will have to do more of the work of making his parents understand and see his way. He will have to face the opposition if any. Stand by him so that he gets the strength to tackle this.
Gather informational material about vitiligo (you will get lots of it on this website) and pass on information to his parents. Make them read about it. They should be able to see this disease objectively that it is just skin deep.Of course, all the above is if his parents have any oppositon to your condition. I would suggest that you yourself take the whole situation positively. When talking to them about vitiligo, dont give out any negative vibes about it. If they see that you and him are comfrotable about it and dont think a big deal about it, then they will also probably not make a big deal out of it.
I am saying all of these things from personal experience. I sincerely hope eerything works out fine with his parents.
Do keep coming tot his website
hey Vandana
Many Many happy returns of the day!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wishing you lost and lots of happiness
Enjoy.
Jai, Thanks for the offer of sending the green tea.
Can you tell me a few brancd names by which it is available in Hyd. It will be easier to search for it in Bombay by the brand name.
If I still dont find it, Iw ill definitely ask you then.I agree with Van. It will be better to take the unflavoured ones…………wholly natural.
But yes, if the taste really proves to be a deterrent, then one may try the flavoured ones.Hi Saraswathi,
Nope, havent started drinking the green tea
I have bee trying to get it in bombay, but couldnt uptil nowHow have things been for you saraswathi? Has your burning subsided
Where do you work in Hyd? Maybe you and Jai should meet up sometime
I know it is good to talk to someone who has vitiligo. Atleast you can talk freely about it
take care and email me if you wish sometimeVan,
It is encouraging of you to say that you liked the taste of green tea…………otheriwse I have heard it doesnt taste that well
Well, I should try harder now to get this delicious morning brew !!!!!!!!!!!Hi Anna,
I hva evitiligo since I was 8 years old………………an dlife is just fine for me.
Dont worry too much about your daughter……………i know how you must feel, but think about this, viitligo is just a skin pigmentation disorder. Doesnt take away a person ability in any manner whatsoeverAnd now, there are so many treatment options available. Hope that your daughter will benefit from those.
Take care
