You are right Vandana! I am first confused about trying homeopathic treatment and then I am confused about which doctor to trust. The problem with homeopathy is that we do not know what the medicine name is and what it is composed of. We just have to trust the doctor who gives it. This lack of knowledge makes it hard to trust the doctor. There is no public standard (unlike regular medicines) on what to use for what kind of sickness. We might make a trip to India in December and if we make, I will try to see some homeopathists in Bangalore and Delhi. Can you please forward me the doctor address and details? I am using protopic and some sun (not sure how much she gets as she is home with my parents in summer holidays and she does not like to sit in the sun). It has been about a week and half.

Hello Ramesh!

I think the doctor’s name in Bangalore that my sister mentioned is Dr. Batra. I think his website is http://www.drbatras.com. The website does not talk much about Vitiligo. My brother-in-law’s friend has taken medication from this doctor and got rid of his spots. This happened quite some time back and that guy said he did not develop any new patches. I think he had very little vitiligo when he treated it. Few spots on his ankles and feet. I would like to hear more opinions/experiences about homeopathic treatments.

Thanks a lot Vandana for your reply. My sister and brother live in Bangalore, who has access to many homeopathists and another sister is in Delhi. My daughter has it on her feet and on knees and a spot on her eye lid. I really want to try homeopathy, but also scared. Where did you get the homeopathy from? Can you write about how you use it and the doctor details?

Did you try NB-UVB for your son? My daughter is 7yrs old and her derm prescribed her NB-UVB treatment. I wanted to know if any Indians had success with Protopic and NB-UVB?
