Please excuse my ignorance about this Unani Institute. If you are praising it so much and looking that it has helped you a great deal, it must be appreciated for all its efforts and research in public service. I wish there are more institute like this all over India so that it can reach each those poor people who keep suffering because of lack of money for PUVA. I wish I was In India right now to take regular treatment there but I am in Dubai and have to depend on whatever I get. However good luck to you for your treatment and salute to your Unani Institute.

It’s nice to know that you appreciate this community as much I do. I too have got all my my major info on vitiligo through this site only. It is a very good medium to share your feelings with people who understand your pain and frustation.
I have already started my Vit Treatment with the small Narrow Band Unit that I got from US. So far I dont feel anything but it is just my 4th treatment. So a long way to go….
I am an architect and currently working in Dubai, UAE. I left Delhi in June 2001 and miss home like anything.
My wife is still in India with the kid and will join me in Dec this year. She came here for a visit for one month and she seems to like the place. You can check me and my family pics at my home page http://www.sanjaychandel.com I have not updated this website for long time, so some of the info may be outdated, but the pics are new. You can clearly see the vit on my hand but the face i have covered with dermacolor, an excellent camouflage.OK tell me something. I have heard americans are very conscious about the looks of a person. Can somebody have difficulties securing job if he has vit?

That answers all my queries. Good luck with your treatment…….err….depig. I had a friend also who was complete white. She was sister of one of my friends in school. When I met her, I did not know about vit so I thought she was remarkably fair and looked very pretty to me. Could never imagine that she had lost her pigment or anything..it was only later I found out she had vit. Well..she had no problem marrying. She had no problem in finding a job also. She got job in american embassy and later married a colleague there. Now she has normal kids and a happy family.

This is first time, I have heard of this kind of condition. And it also makes a solid reason to depigment.
You say you have already spent one year (which is pretty long time) on depig, how much more more time it is gonna take and how expensive is it? Does it just involves applying benoquin all over your body every day? How are you going to protect your skin for Sun rays after you depig? Will it be perfect smooth white or blotchy at places?
What about your hairs? They will remain black?
