Thank you for your kind words. I had started using bavchi (bakuchi) oil in February 2002 (I was Lucky in that way, as I had whole summer ahead for me). I applied it 3 to 4 times a day (Depends on how your skin reacts). My daughter didn’t get that many blisters (couple of times in 8 months). My daughter used to sit in early morning sun for about 15 times with direct sunlight on the proned area. I didn’t use any other medication while applying this oil. I just religiously followed the regime. There were no diet restrictions although — I didn’t give her egg and milk together. I limited the use of citrus juice in our diet. Just gave her normal vitamin tablets (Flintstones). Also, when you do see blisters, stop applying oil for 2-3 days and instead apply Ghee (it quickly cures the blister and you see the normal skin with normal color freckles. Hi Everybody,
This is Dipti again, back online. I had a job situation, but by God’s grace, everything is fine now. I have very good news to share. My daughter’s vitiligo is almost gone. There is a very tiny spot near her mouth. I have been using Bavchi oil religiously for some time now ( ~8 months). I will be taking my daughter to dermatologist on Nov. 22 for check up. I am crossing my fingers till then. I took her sometime in Ausgust and the dermatologist was very happy with the results. He said, “Whatever you are doing is working!!”. Let me give you the exact name of the pharmaceutical company whose oil I have been using.

Name : Bakuchi Tailem, Ayurvedic medicine (100 ml Bottle)
Manufacturer: Nagarjun Pharmaceuticals, Ahmedabad

I got this medicine from a pharmacy store in Navsari, Gujarat. Taking early Sun rays after applying the medicine helps significantly.

I pray everyday that this works for Simmi (my daughter) and everyone else.

Yes, you are correct. Fortunately, my daughter got blisters only once. We applied ghee on that spot and skin became normal. We then again started applying oil and she hasn’t got blister after that. I guess slowly your skin get used the oil.
Please keep me posted with your son’s progress and I’ll do the same.

I have some good news for you and others. My daughter just had the visit with the derm and we had very positive results. This oil works best when vitiligo has just started out. Her white spot from the lip area is almost gone. I apply the oil 3-4 times a day and sit with her in sun. This oil is available from any pharmaceutical store in India. I don’t believe that its sold in Indian stores in US. Also, I did see an Ayurvedic doctor, but she gave lot of oral medicine, which my daughter wouldn’t take. The main thing is, I have used oil in its purest form (not as an ingredient to some lotion). I am very happy with the results from applying this. Also, her vitiligo is spreading, but as soon as we notice it, we start applying and within weeks, it disappears. Hope this information helps. BTW, I live in Washington DC area.
