    Hey Rasmi

    —QUOTED—

Maybe the caution is not required at all….or maybe it is as in your case.

    —END QUOTE—

Yes many people dont have any effect from Vitamin C. One of my cousins in India had his vitiligo cured without any medicine naturally..and he use to have a lot of Vitamin C. Here is US doctors smile at the concept of Vitamin C being a catayst for vitiligo…noone believes it here…but i seen it with my body all the times..

    —QUOTED—

DO you buy soya milk on th market or do you prepare it at home?

    —END QUOTE—

I get Soya milk for market…every grocery store in US has soya milk…I wish i could have the patience and time to prepare Soya milk at home ;o) but i remember my mom making it in India at times when i was a kid, thou i dont remember if i ever tasted it….and then it was Maneka Gandhi in the ministry and Soya milk was lot popularized by her at that time..Many Agricultural Universities have Soya as there agriculural food product and they sell through University Counters and they are quite inexpensive

    Cheers

    Hey Vandana,

    [QUOTED]
i guess u ahve to be really observant to figure out.. but basically processed and synthetic stuff and ingredients are all damaging.
    [/QUOTED]

Yes the synthetic stuff is really damaging for vitiligo. With food i dont have much of choices now and many a times end up eating packed/processed food, as i hate cooking everytime..and in USA processed food are very easily awailable.

    [QUOTED]
soya milk is sooo yuck man ! arggghhh… hats off to all those who drink it !
    [/QUOTED]

I have never tasted Soya milk and planning to get it today evening …but now i know the taste already…haha….My mother has sent some home made haldi from India that is good to have with milk for vitiligo….Do u add something in milk for your daugther?

    [QUOTED]
what treatment are u taking ??
    [/QUOTED]
I am not on any treatment right now..just take all necessary vitamins and minerals..and sometimes Protopic for my vit near the eyebrows.. right now i am working and going to school for mba..so dont find time for my treatment. In summer i plan to go for Mylanocel treatment from India when my school will be closed….

So what treatment are you following for your daughter?

    Cheers

    Hello All

My vitiligo started when i had a lot of citrus juices and they always increase if i have juice for lets say one week or so. Some how for my body..Vitamin C in form of juices and beer or cold drinks acts as catalyst and increase my vit.

I always try to avoid all flavored drinks and that keeps my vit undercheck.

There are some of my Vit – friends who not at all get effected by Vitamin C at all , i guess it more of knowing about how your body reacts to food you eat, and avoiding food that may increase of vitiligo. It needs time, patience and being more observational of what you are eating.

Recently i have i find that having a lot of animal dairy products also increase vit. I am going for Soya milk now..as my weekly intake of milk is a lot and it will take time for me to change it.
