hi
i can understand your concern, in simple words i will say
” Dont worry ” Being an indian and having vitiligo for the last
few years and have travelled to various parts of india. Here in india nearly 1-2 % of people have this
vitiligo problem probably the highest percentage among
all the races.and u cant cross a busy street with out seeing a
viti …. (Thks to the Population explosion) So she can roam around the
city or markets and Malls freely with out any hesitation.Yes indian have a cultural stigma attached to this viti problem
and more over only this culture we have more concern for the
fellow humans feelings.
More over almost all human feelings are universal.“as she has no idea that her skin could stop her
from doing anything she wants in life,
and I would never want to change that impression now.”yes she is correct that this skin could not stop her
from doing anything in life and you need not to change
the impression please, dont do that mistake.and more over
“she has patches on knees, feet, elbows,
and at least half her hands/fingers. “YOu better consult for the new melonocyte culture treatment
which promises for 95 to 97 % recovery rate .infact i am going to try for that
treatment.wishing your daughter a
pleasant stay in India
