Thank U for the good wishes. And the encouragement, cos i can take all i can get right now. It can get very stressful to go thro this procedure alone. But thanks.
I really dont know what i would have done with out this website. This has tremendously helped me, in getting thro some real tough times. Especially just before making the decision to depig or not… thats when i stumbled upon this website…… as i was online trying to get as much info as i could.
After coming to this site, i met Lorraine(online)…who is our DePiG queen, who really helped answer a lot of my questions, and made my decision making a lot smoother.Even otherwise, dealing with my vitiligo has become easier since i came to this site. I am a physical therapist, and i see and meet new people almost everyday, and with a whole lot of vit on my hands, and being in my profession, i use my hands a lot…… i used to get a lot of comments, mostly curious questions…….. Before i would be so upset all day, feeling miserble…. But now, i am so much more confident in my work, even if someone has a question….. i answer them, and thats it….. i dont feel that bad anymore.
What kinda work do u do? U from delhi?
Ria.
Hi sanjay…
Thats what my derm had to say about my vit too… he said, it wasnt too typical. I do have the regular larger patches too.
I am not sure, how much longer depig is going to take, maybe a few years, everyone responds diffrently to the cream. And yea, it can get expensive, a tube costs about $65, and one can use anywhere from one tube to 4 tubes depending on the areas u are doing.
And, i dont do the cream all over my body, i am just doing my arms, legs, neck and face at this time, when i am done with that, i will do my trunk and rest of the body.
Protecting from the sun…. just going to use sunscreens.
AND, the end result is supposed to be perfect, smooth white, and not blotchy, cos thats the whole point, is to have even skin tone. Hair and eye color do not change with use of benoquin.I see a couple of ladies in the temple here, who are completely depigmented. ( i am not sure, if they used the cream or have naturally depigmented)… but they look pretty darn good to me.
I hope to be there some day!Ria
