Hi, Unani medicine is a research institute in hyderabad, India.
I had taken unani medicine for about 3 yrs, and i got a lot of repigmentation back. I had the best response from the Unani…. as compared to allopathic, ayurvedic or homeopathic. It does invoive a very very strict diet , and the institute provides u with the medicine. I think the principle of treating it is the same. They give u some oral medications, and also a topical application which u have to apply before exposure to sunlight. I guess it just makes the skin more sensitive to Uv in the sun. They absolutely didnt let me use an ultraviolet light unit at home. Dont know why…. maybe becos i burned so easy just with the sunlight. all this was way back in 1989, 90….. i dont know how things are rite now.
