      Sia,

      hope u had a rocking wknd …

As some ppl say the liver is definitely the cause of their vit. her liver function test used to be bad… started her with liv 52 for some years.. and it has improved a lot. my daughter too cannot tolerate heavy meals… wells thats a digestion problem there !

i think there are some non phenol ones which people had recommmended ..if u do a search on this website, u will come across some posts. My daughter uses the normal ones… banana boat and coppertone.. spf 50 and for the face spf 100 at times. since she is depigmenting.. phenols are not an issue. i dunno which ones are available in india….

hey are u working.. or studying ??

      tc,

Sorry to hear Sia that thyroid is bothering u….geez seems u have gone thru a lot….in ur childhood.. i know the food fundas.. and that too as a child.. when u can`t understand whats going on….

i think off vit ppl need supplements of the B`s. do u suffer from acidity /digestion probs ? my daughter`s vit ,i believe stems from a digestive prob…she cannot take heavy meals.. compalins of aciidity. Take ur supplements regularly… thats very important.

If i hear abt anybody offering depig in delhi…. i will surely let u know. The other option is get the medicine urself.. and do it….under a doctor`s guidance of course.

thanx for ur sweet and kind words….yea.. i think i will be more at peace once the vit is gone.. tho u constantly need to be on sunscreen and touch up when the pigment rears up… but its a small price to pay !

take care, have a great weekend

          hey sia,

so ur a delhite ….i am also.. but presently residing in penang, malaysia. Sorry to hear that ur vit has been there since childhood…. my daughter also developed vit at the age of 5.. she is now 14. like u she went thru a series of treatments…. her vit was too volatile and widespread to contain.. two years back( she must hv been abt 40-50% depig ) i made the decision to depig…. and i have never been happier… people look at her and say oh wow .. what beautiful skin.. and i laugh at the irony of it ! I would like to advice u.. since ur already 65% depig…..go for depigmentation.. u will not regret it.

which doc are u consulting in delhi ?? Are they any who undertake depig ?? i used to see dr ramji.. who is actually a family friend.which part of delhi are u from ?? i am from south delhi.. my folks are in charmwood….. and sis in sarita vihar.

Phenols… well they maybe just a very small contributor to vit.. but the major fault likes inside our bodies..If u do a search, u will find a lot was said about them in old messages. Some very disciplined people have controlled their vit thru diet…. cutting out sugar, articifical stuff, wheat, non veg etc.

You are a source of inspiration….for all the vitties… to take on life head on and not let vit get u down..

          cheers !

            hi Sia,

welcome to this board :) That was a very wonderful and uplifting message !! I like ur spirit and attitude.. so much like my own daughter, who has vitiligo ! I am glad u look at vit positively. Dont let it get u down. She is on the path of depigmentation presently and doing well. where are u placed in india ? I don`t know about the sources in india….wish i could be of help.

keep that chin and spiirt up !

              Hi SGS,

welcome to this board :) Good to hear u have seen results with homeopatthy. Glad to know it is working for u.

As u said stress is omnipresent.. sighh. Guess u need some stress busters… meditate, excercise, keep cool, don`t let things get under ur skin, get that 8 hours of sleep, eat well, take your supplements. I can only think of these… meditation has helped a lot of people… so i guess that is a must.

              hope that helps,
              good luck,

Hi asha :) nice to gear from u….! My spondlysis worsens – with computer use…so i don`t come here as often as i would like to.. but i do peep in ! Swinzle is i would say 80% depigmneted.. most of the visible parts are depigmented… but too much of sun and the freckles are back…so she has to be really careful.. and sunblock all the time while she is out.. in school the going gets tuff.. and mind u its sunny here all thru the year ! Her progress is good and i am very comfortable and happy with my decision.
Sorry to hear about ur son… thats its spreading everywhere. keep the NBUVB going… u have to be perseverant. Is it helping in repigmenting ? Hope things work out… best wishes.

i dont know if it is good for lips… i think lipsticks would be better.. u don`t want the make up going into ur mouth !

                      hi arif,

i think some people had recommended derma colour for make up.. i had bought it from bombay for my daughter but never used it. But what the guy had showed …looked pretty gooood ! Dunno for lips.. though !

                        Hi Ram,

for some reason i thought u were indian..as not many malaysians on this forum !

nasi kandar is not sumthing i patronize as i am a vegetarian.

yeah been here very long !

have u found a good doctor in KL ?? Some yrs back i used to see this doc in teluk intan ( i think his name is chandran ) used to drive down every 2 weeks to him… but as i said.. daughter`s vit was too explosive to be contained.

do gimme a call when u r here in penang… we can always meet up !

hey asha :) good to hear from u…. so u have moved.. must have been so unsettling.. i hate packing and unpacking… phewwww..

swinzle, i would say is nearly 70% depigmented… actually she applies the medicine only on her upper legs and arms… rest she is depigmenting…herself…i mean the vit is spreading. The upper legs and upper arms had some stubborn areas which were not depigmenting .. thats where she applies the medicine.. and i have seen gradual lightening of the skin… still maybe a year or more to go.. when i would call her totally depigmented. Me .. ahhh old age creeping up..lol… i am ok… off and on aches and pains and spondolysis thats why i try and avoid the net !

how is ur son doing asha. ?? hope whatever treatment ur taking is working for him. do let me know about his welfare…

                                take care,
