hi dileep,
if u look at old messages on this board itself… there is a lot of talk abt green tea. its no miracle tea.. its something.. which u take for long diligently and regularly it may help…
1. no sugar and milk.. the tea is not strong so u can take it minus those two.. dairy and sugar.. avoid if u can..
2.i cannt help u with this one..as i don`t live in the US.
3. milk thistle they say is good…. if u have digestive probs.. do u ??hope that is of help..

Nice to c u around,van
hi san,
I am gald to hear that ur son`s vit is not only stable but also showing freckling. so continue with whatever u r doing/giivng him…
there is adoctor search here..try that.
Else start a new thread.. so more ppl can see it -on this board… with a topic which reads sumthing like..need recommendations of doctors in mumbai.. or mumbaities please help… that may catch the attention.good luck and wishing ur son continued progress,
tc,
van
i tried the doc search ( under vit tools -blue bar..left hand side ) and found some recommended docs listed there.. but u shd ask from more ppl…hi san,
welcome here Sorry to hear about ur son… i know how heartbreaking it is for a mother.
As for ur questions: there is no one thing which u can generalise and say about vitiligo.. it is different for each person.. how much it spreads.
If it does not spread and is stable there is always skin grafting.. u can do…. but i guess thats for when he is older…
I really cannot help u with with this Q about continuing homeopathy…. to what i have read.. it has not really helped anyone. If u feel its not flaring up the vit then continue. Most people have known to flare up and worsen vit. I guess its upto u.
Maybe somebody else can voice their opinion and experience.
There are a no. of ppl from mumbai… who can tell u who is the vit expert in mumbai.
Don`t worrytake care

If u r eating psoralen tabs or applying any cream u have to be very very careful of the time u expose ur skin too… start with 2 mins by the watch.. any more and u may burn uself.. i have had very bad experience of burns.. the prob is at that time u don`t feel u r burning.. its later u realsie.. and by that time u can get blistered.. i am surprised ur doc did not tell u all this.. The face is easier to reigment than other parts of the body. If u have repigmented with the sun alone.. u know its power.. thats it !
Good luck !
Van
hi dileep,
As vineet pointed out my daughter is on the path of depigmentation. She used to use UVB NB…long time back… we had bought a full unit. her patches were old and extensive and 3-4 mins nothing used to happen.. so we had to keep upping the time…

June 10, 2006 at 5:32 am in reply to: New Patches Started One Month back Please Help Me to STOP. #138925hello there,
yes sun is the trigger to help u repigment.. it is most essential.. .. it stimulates the production of melanin which is the pigment in our skins. Exposure to sun should turn ur skin pink… thats a good sign. But be cautious too much can cause it to burn. Applying creams or having tablets make the skin more senstive to sunlight and helps in its absorption.. hence they r used.. called psoralens.
As far as diet is concerned a lot has been said ( read up old msgs ) Some Indian docs advise that u shd not eat sour things. From what i believe and have experienced is.. u shd eat everything, milk, citrus whatever else… in moderate amounts nothing is bad. U shd have a balanced healthy diet and take supplements of vitamins. Cut out the junk food and eat less of carbs and fats. Eat more of fruits and veggies ( in the form of salads , not our oily roasted masala wali sabjis )
Maybe other members have their opinions..and may share their views…
