Nothing is easy where vit is concerned.. thats my experience ! U require immense patience and dedication. Nowdays u have training and then holidays so u shd be more dedicated. .. since u have more time than usual! My daughter used to do UVB.. and it was 15 mins front and back and 10 mins each side.. u can imagine how time consuming it was.. pheww.. am i glad its over now ! So u shd be happy its just 2 mins.. please stick to it !

thnx for ur kind words.
green tea and all these alternate therapies take loooong to show results. so u have to be patient and diligent in taking them. milk thistle is something like the liv 52 we get in india… i have not tried milk thistle as such but have used liv 52 coz my daughter does have some digestive probs and liv function test used to show low levels of enymes and poor absorption of protein.
whatever u try u have to give it 6 mnths before u give up on it….

NO, no don`t stop UVB.. if u have embarked on it.. do it regularly, be patient. usually takes at last 4 mnths to see any results.
keeping calm meaning not to worry ( i know its a tall order !! ) try meditation , if possible. i have gone thru endless worrying and ended up with acidity probs… thats why i emphasize on cut out the worry…
sorry i have not much knowledge abt xtrac laser… ur vit needs to eb stable before u go for it.. its not for new patches coming up..

1. yes prednisolone is given for controlling the spread of vit. Its a steroid. My daughter took it for about 2 yrs.
2.Tacroz is the indian equivalent of protopic and elidel.
3.Its Folic acid. its usally one sinle tablet with both the vitamins in it.

welcome to our indian board Sorry to hear ur vitiligo has been spreading. You need to keep calm and stop worrying… stress and all the emotional havoc makes it spread more.
NB UVB.. kind of diffcult to use since its over the eyes… and the rays can be damaging to the eyes. People use filter goggles, some others keep their eyes tightly shut.. Its best to consult a derm. Its more trial and error what treatment will suit u. Most ppl use protopic/elidel.. but they don`t rub it over the eyelid.. they put near the brow.. and i guess it travels to the eye area.. try and let it get some sun.
I would suggest u read the older msgs on NB UVB board and main msg baord by doing a search.

My daughter is depigmenting.. .. so i am letting her become one colour now.. thats white ! I am happy with my decision and so is she.
where is neesha.. no msgs from her and hardeep.. hope all is well with them..

sorry to hear about ur son, asha. i know exactly how it feels when it spreads…. The face is the easiet to repigment .. .. so don`t worry…what treatment are u pursuing nowdays ?? i know we don`t want to leave any stone unturned…

Swinzle is depigmenting i am letting her become totally white. This was the best way out and everybody is happy with the decision. her vitiligo was too widespread and continously spreading to contain. It has given me some peace of mind. Infact on her arms and upper legs she applies depigmenting cream to hasten the process.

Nice to talk to u again cheer up…. remember we have to keep going …for the sake of our kids..

Sorry i cannot help u with any information about grafting. All i can say is i have used placentrax lotion on my daughter with no benefits. I even gave her placentrax injections .. but it did not help in the least bit.

Sorry to hear u have vitiligo too… but welcome to this board and our group here.. we are all there to offer advice and support…and share our experiences. I am a mother of a 13 yr old daughter who has vitiligo. Good to hear ur spots have stabilized. Be patient and continue with ur treatment… progress is always slow… but u have to be persistent .

welcome to the board i am a mother of a 13 yr old girl who has vitiligo… i know whats it like to struggle with this skin prob and look for some treatment which will benefit u. Sorry to hear its spreading. Have u tried UVB light.. some ppl respond to it…othe rthan that there is tacroz ointement but i guess u cannot really use it for long.
