Dr Montes book for about $50.00 ,,, dunno how much that is in £ though!
[/QUOTED]
i think thats about 30 pounds.
Neesha i looked thru dr monte`s.. and they do not have any recommended doses as such .. its more of his research…. like he gave this much dose and its effect and so on. What i could decipher was :B12- 500-1000mcg. b6-250mg b1-250mg vit C -500mg. folic acid 1mg-5mg. These are very high doses so may not be available as such. If u look thru the natural therapies forum…and do a search u may come across cybercat`s recommended doses who is a nutritionist. Actually when u first read the book its very impressive… and later it just lies around ! I suggest if u are starting vitamins go for the higer doses and stick to it. It takes some about 5-10 months to see any apparent result.I think Emily`s viitligo also has some recommendations.. about dosages.Hope u had a lovely sunny day at the beach !!
My elder daughter starts her O levels exams tomorrow and so its examination fever in the house !!You must log on to your VSI account to access this page.

Does anyone know where i can read/buy Dr. Montes book?
[/QUOTED]
Neesha,
I think it is available thru the net. If u have some friends here from ur area.. u could buy and share the cost. I remember Asha had once posted that she gives her son multigenics or metagenics ( look up vitamins and vitiligo thread in this forum )which are recommended by Dr.grimes… u could look up that brand. I don`t know whats available in UK … but Surbex T by abbott lab was a good one which i was giving Swinzle at one time.Anything with antoxidants are helpful in UVB exposure also…

Also, a while back i was anemic, i took some iron pills and i think i might get that checked out again too.

If you are anemic.. means iron absorption may not be upto the mark which maybe due to the deficiency of folic acid and B12.( they are needed for iron absorption ) Pernicious anemia ( excuse my spelling ! )it is called and is cited as one of the reasons of vitiligo. Thats the reason ppl take this supplement.I personally feel Vit C is not harmful to take…
If u want i will read up Dr. monte`s and tell u his recommended doses. You must log on to your VSI account to access this page.

I do wonder if these vitamins help in vitiligo… but i do give Swinzle. If not anyhting.. they do give her more immunity .What i give is: B complex plus a combo of antioxidants A C E and Zn along with minerals like copper and maganese. Then B12 and folic acid.. sublingual. A lot of people take a whole lot of other stuff as well… others will come up n tell ya… the right adult dosages. I satrted giving her after i read this Dr. Monte`s nutritional approach to vitiligo.
